Time: 6:55 AM
Professor Raine yawned and stretched her arms over her head; it was far too early to be awake. She had been used to waking up no earlier than 9 AM in the morning, and even then it usually took a bit of coffee to coax her into any sort of physical activity. But here it was, 6:55 AM, and she not only had to be awake, but she was soon going to have to teach a class. At least it wasn't going to be exceedingly bad for her first two hours, she had sixth-years first period and seventh-years second period, both classes she knew she would enjoy. She had written up quite an interesting lesson plan for her NEWT-levels first term, and second term would bring even more suprises.
Raine began to look through a notebook on her desk, it was crammed full of papers, although none of them seemed to be wrinkled. Each one of them was filled with the same handwriting, and every paper was about something different. This was Raine's lesson plans for each of her years, and she had a different set of subjects for each year to study. The whole thing had taken her a good two weeks to put together, and for a month or so after that she made little additions, changes, or removals, trying to find the perfect mix of practical and theoretical studies for her students. She thumbed through the notebook to the next-to-final section, which was for the sixth-years, and she looked at the first page. She honestly knew the whole book by heart, but she was the kind of person to reaffirm what she was going to be teaching anyway; she did not want to make any mistakes, she knew that her every move was going to be scrutinized because of her age.
Raine read over the first page, and she smiled slightly, having indeed been correct in what she had thought she was to do that day. She ten turned to the board behind her desk, and she drew her wand from within her midnight-blue robes. She pushed her gold-rimmed spectacles up against her nose, and she pointed at the board and gave her wand a few little flicks, and then large letters began to write themselves on the board.

Raine lowered her wand, and she looked over the board, rather pleased. It was exactly the way she had it planned. She looked to the time, and saw that the first hour was about to begin, the current time being around 6:58 AM. She began to wonder if her students would show up at all, but she was not all that concerned; she would deal with anyone who showed up late for her class swiftly and decisively. She almost hoped that someone would come in late, just to show that she would not be walked over. Besides, today was going to be a lesson that was very important, and useful.
Raine walked to the back of her desk, pulled back her chair, and sat down with a sigh. She was definately going to both enjoy and dread her first day of teaching.
